The winner came from Jens Gammelby in stoppage time from the penalty spot.
Anyembe and co. will seek to redeem themselves when they travel to FC Nordsjælland next week on Monday.
In Germany, Harambee Stars prospect Linton Maina played for 68 minutes as his club Cologne progressed to the DFB Pokal round of 16 after edging out Regensburg 2-1.
Regensburg went ahead in the 66th minute through Benedikt Bauer before two stoppage-time goals from Eric Martel and Isak Johannesson helped Cologne complete a dramatic comeback to progress to the round of 16.
