Meja, currently playing for Eskilstuna but on loan from AIK, was a starter in the game, and ended up playing all 90 minutes in what turned out to be a 4-3 win for his side.
Odhiambo, on the other hand, was only named as a substitute, but played the last 15 minutes of the blockbuster settled by a late Emanuel Chabo winner in the 89th minute.
While Meja, 23, was starting his 11th consecutive match, Odhiambo was making a return to the Karlstad squad, having unused in the last two fixtures against Vasalund and Stocksund.
Meanwhile in the same league - Norra Division One - two Kenyan youngsters - Stanley Wilson and Irad Mshindi made their debuts for their new club Enköpings SK, following their moves this week.
Wilson, only on loan from parent club AIK, was named in the starting lineup of the 2-0 defeat to Vasalund, playing all 90 minutes.
The feat comes as a welcome delight for the 19-year-old, who struggled for game time at his club, only making two senior appearances, which translated to 59 minutes of action.
Prior to his minutes at the Skytteholms IP arena, Wilson last played a match on 28 February, and it was only a cameo off the bench in a cup game.
Joining the former Kariobangi Sharks midfielder in action was new signing Mshindi, who was unveiled just last week, putting pen to paper a two-and-a-half-year contract at the club.
The former Musingu High School captain, made his debut as a substitute, coming on in the 77th minute to replace Daniel Norrby.
The midfielder, in an interview with the club, said the move was important in building his top-level experience, ahead of what he hopes will be a journey towards Old Trafford.
