Harambee Stars skipper Michael Olunga on Wednesday evening scored a brace to help his side - Al Duhail - register their second win in a row after seeing off Muaither SC 5-2 in an away game at Grand Hamad Stadium.

Olunga, who was also on target in their last win against Al Sadd, opened the scoring in the eighth minute after heading in a low cross from left-back Sultan Al-Brake.

The 30-year-old would then score his second in the 80th minute after racing clear from his half past Yazan Al-Arab before calmly placing his left shot for what was Al Duhail’s fourth goal of the game.

In between his first and second goal, Al Duhail were twice pegged back by the hosts through goals from Hugo Gomes and Ayman El Hassouni after Almoez Ali had scored in the 40th minute.

Former Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho shortly after the break gave Al Duhail a 3-2 lead before Rashid Abdulaziz Al Abdulla completed the rout with a minute left to the end of the game.

The two goals for Olunga means that he is now on 14 goals from 16 Qatar Stars League appearances with Al Duhail up to fifth on the log with 28 points from 20 matches.

Meanwhile in Armenia, the Kenyan duo of Amos Nondi and Alwyn Tera featured in Aratat Armenia’s 2-0 win over FC Urartu in a game played at the Yerevan Football Academy on Wednesday.

While Nondi was named in the starting lineup, Tera was introduced from the bench in the 67th minute, coming on to replace Armen Ambartsumyan.

Ararat, who after 29 games are third on the 10-team log with 61 points and two off top, got their goals through Mohamed Yatarra and Tenton Yenne.
