In Zimbabwe, former Gor Mahia defender Joshua Onyango won his first piece of silverware with Scottland FC
Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah was once again on the scoresheet on Sunday, 19 April as his Zambian side Power Dynamos powered their way to the 2026 ABSA Cup semifinals.

Shumah, who has been in scintillating form this season, netted one more to add to his 20 league goals, as Dynamos beat Nchanga Rangers FC 2-0 at the Nkoloma Stadium.
The former Kakamega Homeboyz man opened the scoring for the Aba Yellow in the 14th minute, when he fed off an assist from Fredrick Mulambia to give his side a 1-0 lead.
It would take till the 75th minute for Dynamos to put the quarter final tie to bed, when Dominic Chanda scored from a Prince Mumba assist to ice the game.
Shumah ended up playing for 78 minutes, before being subbed out for Salulani Phiri.
There was no place in the team, however, for Shumah’s country-mate Emmanuel Osoro, who was not named in the match-day squad.
Power Dynamos, with the win, join Red Arrows, Chirundu United and Mufulira in the last four of the cup.
Ayunga magic absent
Elsewhere in Scotland, there was no repeat of a fairy-tale story for Harambee Stars forward Jonah Ayunga, as his St. Mirren side stumbled to a 6-2 extra-time defeat to Celtic in a Scottish Cup semifinal at Hampden.
Ayunga, who wrote his name in the Paisley folklore with a stunning double to lead St. Mirren to a Premier Sports Cup title at Hampden on Sunday, 14 December, could not replicate his heroics against similar opposition, as Martin O'Neill’s side found an extra gear in extra-time to put a brake on St. Mirren’s attempted comeback.
It's not our day at Hampden.

Celtic, through a pair of strikes from Daizen Maeda and Anthony Ralston, held a 2-0 lead at halftime, before St. Mirren drew level through Mikael Mandron to force an extra thirty minutes.
It was in that period that Celtic put the tie to bed, raining four goals in six minutes to secure their place in the final.
Ayunga was not on the field during that painful avalanche, as he was hooked off after 74 minutes for English forward Jake Young.
Wilson Mr. Dependable
In Sweden, Harambee Stars midfielder Stanley Wilson was on the field for 80 minutes as his Swedish side AIK beat Kalmar 1-0 in an Allsvenskan Round Three match at the Strawberry Arena.
Wilson, who this week opened up on adapting to a new tactical role at the top-tier club, was once again deployed as an inverted left full-back, helping his side secure its first clean sheet of the new season.
The 19-year-old was however booked in the 73rd minute, before being replaced by Syria’s Ahmad Faqa.
Anyembe back after brief paternity break
In Denmark, Harambee Stars defender Daniel Anyembe was back in the squad for Danish top-tier side Viborg FF as they squandered a lead to fall 2-1 to Nordsjaelland at the Right to Dream Park.
Ayunga, who sat out his team’s last game against Sonderjyske to welcome the birth of his second child, was a full participant in the defeat, which saw the visitors take a 19th minute lead via Charly Nouck, before conceding twice - including in the last minute of regular time - to drop their 11th game of the season.
First silverware for Onyango
On a lovely note in Zimbabwe, former Gor Mahia defender Joshua Onyango lifted his first trophy with Scottland FC, after they clinched the Independence Trophy at Maphisa Stadium.
In a tightly contested final, stand-in captain Knowledge Musona struck the decisive goal as Scottland FC edged Highlanders 1-0 to secure the historic title, which was Onyango’s first since signing with the club last month.
