Kibet, whose previous personal best in a game was the four goals he scored against CD Roces U19 on 15 March, was on a rampage on Sunday, as he found the net four times inside the first 39 minutes, before adding a late fifth in the second half to complete his biggest haul in the Vigo colors.
The Kenyan opened his team’s scoring after only three minutes, and was again on the score-sheet in the 19th, 36th and 39th minutes, by when the score was 9-0.
With the hosts leading 10-0 at halftime, the St. Anthony's Boys High School alumnus made sure to add to his tally in the 87th minute, scoring the last of Celta’s goals to complete the rout.
The win for Celta was the heaviest the side has recorded this season, and it was befitting that it was it the result that saw the team claim the División de Honor (DH) Juvenil title, with top position guaranteed with two games remaining.
“We are champions of the DH Juvenil,” Celta Vigo posted on their timelines at full-time. “This team returns to the top 3 years later. Many congratulations.”

With the league title sealed, Kibet and his teammates can get ready for a new season in the Copa de Campeones Juvenil de Fútbol, which consists of the winners of the seven groups of the División de Honor, and the best runner-up.
Overall, Kibet, who is also a member of the Celta Vigo B team, has scored 16 of his side’s staggering 108 goals this season.
