The Mozzart Bet–sponsored side went ahead, fell behind, and then clawed their way back despite playing the final minutes with 10 men, completing a six-goal thriller that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Heading into the match, Shabana were fourth on the log with 27 points, while the law enforcers sat 16th in the relegation zone with 14 points.

APS started brightly and took the lead inside the opening minute through Philemon Nyakwaka, setting the tempo early. Shabana responded with urgency, with hometown winger Danson Kiprono causing problems down the flank and striking the post in the 13th minute.

Their pressure paid off in the 19th minute when Brian Olega equalised after good work from Kiprono.

The tempo then dipped, with Kiprono missing another close-range chance in the 38th minute as the teams went into the break level at 1-1.

Shabana began the second half strongly, Olega completing his brace in the 47th minute to give them their first lead.

The momentum remained with the visitors, and they extended the advantage in the 65th minute when Brian Michira finished off a Kiprono assist.

APS’ task became tougher in the 78th minute when captain Chris Wilunda was sent off, leaving them with 10 men.

However, the hosts refused to surrender. In-form Philip Wasai pulled one back in the 82nd minute before substitute Dickson Kibet struck two minutes later, his cross from the right misjudged by Stephen Ochieng and ending up in the net to complete the comeback.

The draw sees Shabana move up to third on the table, while APS climb out of the relegation zone into 15th place.

Elsewhere at the KPA Sports Club in Mbaraki, Bandari FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Kariobangi Sharks. Bandari moved to ninth on 24 points, while Sharks remain bottom with 14 points.
