A full stadium cheered for the Argentine, who was at the center of a scandal a week ago

Two years have passed since Enzo Fernandez left River Plate, filled the budget well and started to build a career in Europe. He left, but he carries the red and white colors in his heart - someday he will return, he says. Last night, if only for a short time, he cheered on the club that is close to his heart from the stands of the iconic Monumental Stadium.

He put on the River Plate jersey and the stands "lit up" - the atmosphere had reached a boiling point. A packed stadium cheered the Argentine who a week ago found himself at the center of a scandal after winning the Copa America, as he sang an offensive song related to the roots of French national football team players on the bus. To make matters worse, Monumental supported 'unconstrained racism', as Wesley Fofana called the behavior of his club colleague.

Enzo Fernandez apologized, Chelsea and FIFA initiated internal proceedings against the Argentine midfielder, and River Plate fans supported him. And that by singing a song in unison, the lyrics of which are as follows:

"They play in France, but they're all from Angola - how nice! They will run, they are 'cometravas' like f**king Mbappe. Their mother is Nigerian, and their father is Cameroonian, but on the passport, it says, French".

Enzo Fernandez's show at halftime of the game against Lanus was the fuel for the fans. The spark, to be exact, which contributed to the atmosphere being inflammable, but even that did not help River Plate. If it wasn't for Miguel Borja, they wouldn't have taken a point - 2-2 (0-0).

The appearance of the Chelsea midfielder on the field was the trigger, from that moment everything changed. A rain of goals followed, and Miguel Borja had to 'intervene' twice. First, he neutralized Marcelino Moreno's goal, and in stoppage time he also canceled Jonathan Torres' shot, who had a hand in Lanus' first goal as well.
