The 2016 Rio Olympic Games champion said the captain worked overtime to stabilize the plane and flew it above the trees while looking for a clear place to land it.
It is after spotting an open space when the captain elected to descend with an aim of landing but according to Rudisha's narration, one of the wings hit a tree before splashing down on a rocky field.
" We thank God we all came out alive with some soft tissue injuries that were treated before all were discharged save for one," he narrated.
Despite escaping death by a whisker, the multiple world champion could afford to take photos next to the wreckage and went viral on Saturday evening with Kenyans from all walks of life wishing the athlete speedy recovery.
All on board were evacuated to Makindi Hospital for treatment with Ole Marai being transferred later to Nairobi West Hospital for specialized treatment.
