Ngatiari, Njeri shine at Migaa NCBA Golf Series leg

The Migaa leg further tightened the qualification race, with more golfers booking their spots as attention now shifts to the upcoming stages en route to the Grand Finale at Karen Country Club

Anthony Ngatiari and Teresia Njeri were the standout performers at the 10th leg of the 2026 NCBA Golf Series held at Migaa Golf Club over the weekend, as the race to qualify for the Grand Finale intensified.

The tournament attracted a strong field of golfers, competing for top honours and valuable qualification points for the NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale set for November at Karen Country Club.

In the overall men’s category, Ngatiari produced a composed display to claim victory in a competitive field of more than 100 golfers, underlining his consistency throughout the round.

In the ladies’ category, Njeri, playing off handicap 28, delivered a superb round of 75 nett to emerge overall winner.

Agnes Wairimu (handicap 31) finished second after returning 81 nett.

In Division Two Men, Timothy Murio (handicap 21) impressed with a winning score of 71 nett, while John Kimani (handicap 24) came second with 72 nett.

The Division Two Ladies title went to Suzanna Wanja (handicap 31), who posted 81 nett, ahead of Ruth Wangombe (handicap 28), who finished runner-up with 85 nett.

Wangombe also featured in Division Three, where she went one better to secure victory with 85 nett. Wanjiru Ngariani (handicap 50) finished second after carding 95 nett.

In the Guest category, Jessy Ndegwa (handicap 12) stood out with a strong 72 nett to take top honours.

NCBA Kiambu Branch Manager Julius Mburu praised the continued growth and impact of the series, noting its role in uniting golfers and strengthening community engagement.
