The final event featured dramatic finishes, including a playoff in the Boys 13-14 category where Nawenxuan Li edged out Muriithi Gatu after a tense two-hole playoff on holes 13 and 14 to claim victory.

The day’s standout performances included James Tino Macakiage, who shot an impressive 3-under-par to win the Boys 9 category, and Aryan Patel, who continued his fine form with a 1-under-par finish to take the Boys 7 title.

Other winners on the day included Victor Haland (+7) in Boys 6 & Under, Surya Bongu (+2) in Boys 8, Henil Shah (+1) in Boys 10, Ishaan Patel (+5) in Boys 11, Adam Nesbitt (+3) in Boys 12, and Wahome Mutahi (+10) in Boys 15-18.

"Today was not my best, and I could have played much better. However, I ended the season with a good finish. Throughout the season, there are some rounds that I feel I should have done better. I will work hard for the upcoming Invitational scheduled for December,” Nesbitt, who has won all events he has entered, said.

In the girls’ divisions, Maria Asiyo (+4) led the Girls 8 & Under category, Leticia Mwangale (+2) triumphed in Girls 9-10, while Ashley Gachora impressed once again with an even-par round to win the Girls 11-12 division. Siqian Yu (+3) claimed victory in Girls 13-14, and Yolanda Yu (+9) topped the Girls 15-18 category.

As the season concluded, the overall Fall Tour champions were officially crowned based on accumulated points throughout the series.

The tournament was graced by NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora, who commended the remarkable progress of junior golf in Kenya, noting the impact of the partnership between NCBA Group and the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) over the past four years.

“This partnership has transformed the junior golf landscape in Kenya. We are seeing our young golfers not only competing but winning in amateur tournaments and even earning World Amateur Golf Ranking points. The growth we’re witnessing is proof that investing in youth sports creates lasting impact,” said Gachora.

JGF president Vincent Mukiri also lauded the event’s success and the rapid growth of the junior golf program.

“When we started this journey, we had only a few hundred juniors; today, we have more than 4,000 young golfers actively playing across the country. The increase in participation, especially among girls, is a testament to the changing face of golf in Kenya. Our mission remains clear, to make golf accessible, enjoyable, and developmental for all,” he said.

The Muthaiga championship brought the curtains down on what has been one of the most successful junior golf seasons yet, setting the stage for the upcoming NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Invitational on 20 to 22 December.
