The junior tournament is part of the world-renowned Faldo Junior Tour, founded by six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo, and offers a golden opportunity for young Kenyan golfers to showcase their talent on an international platform.

Attracting top-tier junior players, the competition has raised the bar for junior golf development in the region. The tournament is also a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event and counts for the Junior Golf Foundation Order of Merit.

The NCBA Junior Faldo Series made its Kenyan debut in 2022 at Limuru Country Club, with the second and third editions successfully hosted at Karen Country Club in 2023 and 2024 respectively. Now in its fourth year, the series continues to grow in stature and excitement.

The top competitors across four categories: Boys U16, Boys U21, Girls U16, and Girls U21 will not only be crowned national champions but will also earn qualification to the prestigious Faldo Junior Tour European Grand Final, scheduled for 18 to 20 November 2025 at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity gives young players a chance to compete against the world's best junior golfers and receive mentorship from none other than the tournament founder and a three-time Masters Champion and three-time Open Championship winner.

In 2024, four outstanding young golfers represented Kenya at the Grand Final:

Girls U16: Bianca Ngecu

Girls U21: Antonia Mbuthia

Boys U16: Shashwat Harish

Boys U21: Elvis Muigua

Their participation highlighted Kenya's growing presence on the global junior golf stage and set the standard for aspiring competitors in 2025. Bianca and Antonia are part of this year's contenders alongside Junaid Manji and Belinda Wanjiru, who captained the Kenya Junior Golf Team to the 2025 All Africa Junior Team Championship at Tunisia and team members Audrey Gachora, Hazel Kuria, Tsevi Soni and Justin Ngeera.

Other top players include Kanana Muthomi, Yuvraj Rajput, Krish Shah, Kevin Anyien and Mwathi Gicheru.

Adding to the excitement and prestige of this year's championship is the participation of Vuyisani Cameron from South Africa, who brings not only fierce talent but also a global spotlight. The involvement of the international players not only reflects the tournament's expanding reputation but also sets the stage for a truly world-class contest for the top prizes.

As anticipation builds for this year's edition, all eyes will be on the greens at Vet Lab as the next wave of golfing stars tee off in pursuit of glory, international recognition, and a shot at greatness.
