Another Little Prince milestone — his 200th goal in the league

Atletico Madrid defeated Sevilla 3–0 (0–0) in their 11th round La Liga clash, played in front of a full house at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

The first half passed without many notable chances. The only highlight came in the 37th minute when Nicolas Gonzalez struck a powerful shot from a rebound, but the post denied him, keeping the home side from taking the lead.

The second half saw a fierce battle in midfield, with few clear opportunities until the 63rd minute, when referee Francisco Maeso, after consulting VAR, awarded a penalty to Atletico. Julian Alvarez confidently converted from the spot to make it 1–0.

Atletico added two more goals before the final whistle. In the 77th minute, Thiago Almada finished brilliantly inside the box after a perfect pass from Julian Simeone, leaving Sevilla goalkeeper Vlachodimos helpless for 2–0. The goal is HERE!

In stoppage time, Antoine Griezmann sealed the victory, receiving a superb pass from Almada and scoring with a trademark strike from the edge of the box, making it 3–0. This was Griezmann’s 200th goal in Spain’s top division, making him only the 11th player in history to reach this milestone. The goal is HERE!

With this win, Atletico Madrid moved up to fourth place in La Liga with 22 points, while the visitors from Andalusia remain 11th with 13 points.
