The Spain international, who recently concluded a stellar season with the Gunners, is touring the wild charm of the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti.

The couple's visit has stirred excitement among local fans, with many praising Raya for choosing Tanzania as his post-season getaway.

His presence is being hailed as a boost for the country’s tourism industry, further cementing Tanzania’s status as a top destination for luxury, adventure, and natural beauty.

The pair, together since 2021, got engaged in October 2024 during a picturesque holiday in the Maldives and have since become fan favourites on social media.

A video of them trying out Swahili words has also surfaced online, earning them more love from East Africans who appreciated the cultural connection.

Tatiana, 29, originally from Barcelona, has been a constant pillar of support for Raya, frequently spotted in the stands during his matches.

Since going public with their relationship in mid-2022, they have shared glimpses of their love story through candid and scenic posts, becoming a beloved couple in the football world.

Raya’s honeymoon comes hot on the heels of a standout season with Arsenal, where he shared the 2024/25 Premier League Golden Glove with Nottingham Forest's Matz Sels after keeping six consecutive clean sheets.

His heroics earned him a spot in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year and saw him scoop the Best Goalkeeper award at the 2025 London Football Awards held at the Wembley Stadium.

In that category, he beat a competitive lineup that included Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea Women), Josh Keeley (Leyton Orient), and Mark Flekken (Brentford).

His stunning save against Ollie Watkins in August, which earned him the Premier League Save of the Month, remains one of his highlights of the season.

Arsenal narrowly missed out on the English Premier League title, finishing second in the 2024/25 campaign, and reached the UEFA Champions League semifinals before bowing out to PSG.

Raya’s Tanzanian escape follows Tottenham Hotspur forward Dominic Solanke’s recent trip to Maasai Mara, continuing a growing trend of Premier League stars choosing African destinations for their holidays.

Fans across Tanzania have warmly welcomed Raya online, with some even calling for him to engage with grassroots football during his visit.
