The Spanish coach is a big fan of Alvarez’s playing style, so PSG have already begun the process of potentially signing him
Paris Saint-Germain are ready to make a major push for Julian Alvarez this summer, potentially complicating Arsenal’s pursuit of the highly rated forward.
Currently starring for Atletico Madrid, the Argentine international has reportedly become one of the top priorities for PSG manager Luis Enrique, who views the 26-year-old as a perfect fit for his dynamic attacking setup in the French capital.

While Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is also eager to bring Alvarez to North London as the marquee addition to his frontline, PSG’s financial strength could prove decisive if the two clubs go head-to-head.
Arsenal’s admiration for Alvarez is no secret, but Atletico have so far insisted that the striker is not on the market. Manager Diego Simeone has reportedly described him as “untouchable.” Still, with Antoine Griezmann expected to depart at the end of the season, Atletico may be more open to negotiations if an offer large enough to exceed their expectations arrives.
Alvarez has once again underlined his quality this season, registering 20 goals and 10 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions. Those numbers have only increased interest from Europe’s elite clubs.
For PSG, a fee north of €100 million would not be a major obstacle as the reigning French champions look to reinforce their squad and make another statement ahead of the new campaign.
Arsenal, meanwhile, may need to rely on more than money. The Gunners will have to convince Alvarez that their sporting project offers a more attractive opportunity than both the appeal of life in Paris and the stability he currently enjoys in Madrid.

🏆 Julian Alvarez basically COMPLETED football in less than 2 years.
🌟 At just 23, he was rocking these SIX champion patches — the ONLY player in history to do it:
🏆 Copa Libertadores
🏆 FIFA World Cup
🏆 Copa América
🏆 Premier League… pic.twitter.com/kWDoD2L9pT
Barcelona are also monitoring the situation, although their financial limitations make a move difficult at this stage.
With several European giants keeping close tabs on Alvarez, the race for his signature is shaping up to be one of the standout transfer sagas of the summer.
