Below-par United can't beat 19th-placed Burnley at home

Andre Onana made a handful of impeccable saves before a costly mistake that allowed the visitors to equalize late from the spot (1-1)

Manchester United failed to defeat the Premier League strugglers Burnley on Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford, as the relegation-threatened side grabbed a 1-1 draw.

Antony struck 12 minutes from time to provide his team with a lead, but the celebration didn't last long.

United's keeper, Andre Onana, made a bunch of remarkable saves before making that one late but costly mistake, recklessly hitting Burnley's Amdouni in his own area for a deserved penalty.

It was another pale performance of Erik ten Hag's side, as Vincent Kompany's slot was much closer to getting in front before that above-mentioned Antony's opener.

Bizarrely, Onana is to blame for keeping his side alive during the majority of the game, as his jaw-dropping reactions denied Burnley several clear-cut opportunities.

Another below-par Red Devils' display could have ended in a win, though, thanks to Antony's classy 79th-minute finishing.

Still, it was far from over, especially when it comes to the squad of contemporary Manchester United...

Onana's fist hit Amdouni instead of the ball, and the referee pointed to the spot after a short VAR review.

The same player, Amdouni, converted it confidently for another agony for the red part of Manchester.
