Paris Saint-Germain fell apart and allowed Manchester City to stage a huge comeback at Parc des Princes in the UEFA Champions League semi final
How quickly things change, how easily a little mistake can turn an entire game of football upside-down. PSG were seemingly bossing their Champions League semi-final first leg against Manchester City but a defensive lapse saw the match take an entirely different route.

Paris’ Brazilian captain Marquinhos headed in the opener after a well-timed run and a perfect header from an Angel Di Maria’s corner kick on 15 minutes. It was coming after the home team’s early dominance.
Long periods of Paris passing the ball and probing City’s shaking defence for openings indicated that the English side will have a torrid time in The City of Lights.
But a five-minute blackout of the home defence made Mauricio Pochettino shake his head in disbelief. Presnel Kimpembe failed to clear an inswinging Kevin de Bruyne cross and the ball bounced off the ground, finding its way into the Parisians’ net.
It was a heavy blow to the confidence of the home team and the match quickly went from bad to worse. Algerian international Riyad Mahrez fired a free kick right through the wall of Paris players and past the raging goalkeeper Keylor Navas. And when Idrissa Gueye received marching orders from the referee, it was clear that this night wasn't going to end well for the French club.
Two defensive blunders that could be expected from an amateur side have undone everything the Parisian forward players have created in the first hour of this match. Di Maria, Mbappe and Neymar were creating havoc among City defenders and looked like a team capable of powering past the Premier League table-toppers.

This tie is far from over, but Paris will have to produce a world-class performance to reach the final after a dismal second half versus the sky blues.
