Coman's brace ends any Freiburg's hope in Munich

Since the beginning of the season, Bayern had only one game without two or more goals scored. That was the opening game in the Super Cup when they lost 3-0 to Leipzig. In the meantime, they drew twice but always scored two or more goals. No matter what happens off the pitch and what crisis is in the club, the goals scored are a standard which still stands. Today, Freiburg, which was believed to be able to harm the Bavarians, fell into that quota. Instead of surprising, the guests barely crossed the centre a few times - 3:0.

Bayern's form this season is unstable. They either play a great game, or they just get away from defeat (like 2-2 against Leverkusen), or they play badly and just win (Copenhagen in the Champions League), but tonight, everything was clicking from the beginning. To be fair, Freiburg are also unstable. They defeated Olympiakos in the Europa League, lost at home to West Ham, lost to Dortmund... Elusive. That's why there was doubt that they could make a miracle in Munich. And, it turns out that they forgot to bring courage and any outlines of the game from home. In 70 minutes, Freiburg had one shot at Bayern's goal, compared to 14, which is how many times the Bavarians took a shot. They just didn't stop there; they continued to rush towards the rival's goal until the last minute.

Bayern also had a bit of luck. The leading goal was pure coincidence; even Kingsley Coman was laughing. The ball went over his leg during the cross and ended up over the head of the goalkeeper Atubolu. That goal destroyed even the little self-respect that Freiburg came with, so in the 25th minute, Sane doubled the score (2:0). Well, it was already a typical Bayern action, in which the scorer ‘walked’ into the goal with the ball. Sane was also the scorer of the third goal for the Bavarians in the last minute of the first half, only for VAR to cancel the goal due to offside.

The second half was different. Bayern attacked and kept the ball all the time but just couldn't get a goal. And Freiburg could not even get to the ball. The pressure lasted until the end, with the fact that the Bavarians were close to scoring when Goretcka hit the post with a shot from 17 meters, and a little later, Coman was among the scorers. And he was lucky again; the ball hit Gulde during his shot and tricked the goalkeeper. It was a routine victory for Bayern, which he needed for the sake of peace at home before the two-week break. To collect impressions and try to calm down the spirits. And Freiburg? With only one shot on goal in 90 minutes... Devastating.
