Death threats because of Osimhen?!

Turkish fans have long been considered some of the most passionate in Europe. Their pyro shows and tifos have often gone viral on the internet, inspiring admiration.

However, their fervour can sometimes cause them to cross the line and go too far, which is exactly what's recently happened - all because of the transfer conundrum around Victor Osimhen.

Galatasaray have been desperate to keep the Nigerian permanently, but none of the offers they submitted to Napoli were accepted. Now, they reportedly have competition from Saudi Arabia, which has significantly reduced their chances of signing the striker.

The Neapolitans' management's stance naturally angered the Turkish side's fans, but one of them obviously took it way too seriously, sending death threats to Napoli's vice-president, Edoardo De Laurentiis!

As per Football Italia, Turkish journalist Samet Cayir published messages that the son of the club's owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, received via WhatsApp in which someone who introduced himself as a "member of the Turkish mafia" told him to "let Osimhen go or he is finished."

This "textual argument" continued, and the alleged Galatasaray fan warned Edoardo that "he and his dad will pay" and that he should "be careful."

In the end, regardless of the club at which Osimhen ultimately ends up, absolutely everyone has to agree that threats don't belong in football or life.
