The Kenyan international ruptured his Achilles Tendon while training with his Polish club Rakow Czestochowa on Tuesday, 26 August.
He consequently went under the knife ten days later, as confirmed by the club.
In a video clip posted by the Polish giants on Thursday, 13 November, the Green Commandos alumnus shared with the world his progress.
“I want to say that my rehabilitation has been so good and everything is going on perfectly well, and I have seen a great improvement over the last two months,” said Ouma.
The versatile defender also sent a message of encouragement to his teammates ahead of the second leg.
“I want to say thank you for the support during this period, and I wish the team all the best in all the remaining matches. May they win the championship,” he stated.
Rakow are currently fourth in the 2025/26 Ekstraklasa with 23 points, six off league leaders Gornik Zabrze. The team could improve their tally if they win their match in hand.
Rakow will be keen to repeat their 2022/23 season run, where they clinched the league title.
Last season, the Czestochowa-based outfit finished second with 69 points, with defending champions Lech Poznan edging them by a point.
Poznan, who signed Ouma’s compatriot Timothy Ouma after their league title, are currently eighth with 21 points and will need a big second leg performance to reclaim the league title, an ambition also shared by Rakow.
The injury has seen Ouma miss five Harambee Stars matches, four in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and last week's friendly against Equatorial Guinea.
The 29-year-old will also miss Harambee Stars' crucial friendly against Senegal on Tuesday, 18 November.
