Homeboyz midfielder yearning for playing time after recovering from knee injury
Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Eston Esiye is working round the clock in a bid to regain his place in the starting team after recovering from a lengthy injury.
Esiye has been out of action for almost three months thanks to a knee injury picked in April during a friendly match but has since resumed training after months of rehabilitation.
The creative midfielder revealed that he suffered a knock on his right knee in one of the host of test matches Homeboyz featured in after the government suspended sporting activities for almost two months.

Esiye who returned to Homeboyz at the start of the season after two seasons with KCB says he is putting in a shift to impress coach Nicholas Muyoti and reclaim his place in the team.
The former Western Stima midfielder christened as Koshe last tasted league football during their 2-1 win away to Mathare United in March at the Kasarani Annex.
"I am working hard to return to the first team after healing from a knee knock which had kept me on the sideline from April. I would have began training earlier but I have had to bout with Malaria for a number of weeks. I rejoined the team in training a couple of days ago and I believe within a short time I will," he said.
Esiye who lauded the team for the results garnered the time he was away admitted that the competition in his preferred area of operation was forcing him to go the extra mile.

The lanky midfielder will face off with the rejuvenated Shami Kibwana and Ghanaian Stephen Opoku who have since filled in his shoes for the time he was away.
"The team has been doing good in the recent weeks. We have depth and quality in the technical bench. I have to work harder for me to get playing time as the competition in the midfield is there for all to see," he added.
