The 20-year-old scored 15 goals in the 2024-2025 FKF Premier League season
Tusker forward Ryan Ogam is set to join Austrian top-tier club Wolfsberger AC, following an agreement between both sides.
The development, confirmed first by Mozzart Sport, comes days after the striker emerged Kenya's joint top goalscorer in the 2024 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) held in East Africa.
Details of the contract, plus figures involved, are yet to be made official, with parent club Tusker expected to make a windfall from the sale of their star striker.
When officially confirmed, the deal will end transfer speculation sorrounding the former Rainbow man, who had been rumored for moves outside The Brewers for the better part of the year.
Midway through his brilliant breakout first season in the FKF Premier League, Ogam attracted significant interest from clubs abroad, with Algeria's USM Alger and Swedish second-tier side Östersunds FK reported to have tabled bids in February.
Tusker, however, turned down a move by USM Alger to trigger Ogam’s $30,000 release clause, before rejecting Östersunds FK’s proposal of paying the same clause, plus offering Tusker a 40% sell-on clause for any future transfer.
Ogam, speaking in an exclusive interview at the time, said the falling through of those deals threw him off, adding that he was "bothered because at times I thought I had landed a good deal, but then circumstances prevented."
In the recent days, Ogam’s future was once again thrown in the air when his parents - thought to have an influence over his career moves - were pictured with Gor Mahia's deputy patron, raising expectations that the forward would be donning the green and white next season.
That appears not be the case, with the Austrian Bundesliga side moving in for the man who wishes to one time play for Manchester United.
Wolfsberger, who were founded 94 years ago and play their home matches at Lavanttal-Arena, are currently sixth in the new season, and could seal their place in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday, 28 August, should they add to, or see out their 2-1 advantage over Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia in the final round of qualifiers.
