A few days ago, Juma expressed confidence in her team, stating that they were on the right track despite some players dropping out for various reasons.

“So far, so good. We’ve been trimming and recalling players as we go. Some couldn’t report because of exams or paperwork, but the group we have is focused and mentally ready,” she said.

Regarding the team’s progress, she added, “Technically, we’re about 80 percent there, and tactically we’re progressing well.”

Harambee Starlets and Simba Queens attacker Fasila Adhiambo will captain the team, with junior Starlets and Ulinzi Starlets defender Lorine Ilavonga serving as her assistant.
