FKF opens registration for CAF A coaching course

The comprehensive course will span over a period of six months consisting of 17 modules

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has, lined up CAF A license coaching course set to take place between 16 October 2023 and 29 March 2024 in a move, aimed at capacity building for coaches who had earlier been trained at the CAF B level.

The comprehensive course will span over a period of six months consisting of 17 modules and will, take place in Nairobi at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).

In the course that will only take in 25 participants, FKF has called on every one who wishes to attend to register their interest but has set out specific criteria that need to be met.

“They should possess a CAF B diploma and are currently active coaches. Applicants must have practiced in the coaching role for at least two full seasons after obtaining the CAF B diploma.

Additionally, they must have a coaching experience diary, basic computer skills, be proficient in reading and writing in one of the official languages of Kenya and need to fill out the FKF Coach registration form in its entirety. A valid Gmail account is also required for CMS registration purposes,” a statement from FKF read.

It is important to note that the registration deadline is October 6, 2023. Coaches are urged to complete the registration process before this date to avoid automatic disqualification.

Upon receiving an approval email, to secure your participation, you will be required to make a payment of Ksh 120,000 to the country’s football governing body.

Meanwhile, the federation will also offer a refresher course from 14-18 August to the CAF A licensed diploma holders issued back in 2014.

Candidates for the course must be actively coaching, must possess the previous CAF A license diploma issued in 2014, have a valid Gmail account for registration purposes and a copy of valid passport/ID.

Participants in the refresher course will be required to pay Kes 20,000.
