Mohammed was one of the many committee members who attended the induction ceremony held on Wednesday, 17 December, in Doha, Qatar, where they were briefed on their roles at the world football governing body.
The FKF head honcho took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to explain the role and importance of his committee.

“Through the Institutional Relations Committee, I will contribute to FIFA’s engagements with global bodies such as the United Nations and other international institutions, an important space where football intersects with development, diplomacy and global policy,” said Mohammed.
According to FIFA, the committee will also be in charge of monitoring compliance with governance standards, strengthening FIFA’s relationship with Confederations and national associations, as well as offering advice to FIFA on sponsor and partner relations.
The Institutional Relations Committee will be chaired by Saudi Arabia’s Adwa Al Arifi, who will be deputised by Bjorn Vassalo of Malta. The committee will be represented in the FIFA Council by Razvan Burleanu of Romania.
Nominated FKF NEC member Abdullahi Yussuf Ibrahim was also inducted into the FIFA Stadium Security Committee, a role in which he was appointed in October.

The committee, which will be chaired by the Netherlands’ Frank Paaw and represented in the FIFA Council by Costa Rica’s Rodolfo Villalobos, is responsible for crowd control, fan behaviour, communication, access control and terrorism prevention.
Kenyan sports lawyer Janet Katisya was also appointed to the Ethics Committee that is responsible for investigations and adjudication.
Mohammed took time to explain the significance of these appointments to the growth of the game in Kenya.
“These appointments reflect the positive changes taking place within Kenyan football and the growing confidence in our governance structures.
This progress is significant for Kenya’s visibility and ensures our football perspective is represented as the global game continues to evolve,” he stated.
