Kenyan giants AFC Leopards will be making a return to action after a two-week hiatus, with a clash against Mara Sugar, as Shabana takes on Ulinzi Stars.

Ahead of today's games, Gor Mahia are still at the summit of the league table with 64 points, nine points more than AFC Leopards, who have a game in hand.

At the bottom of the log lies already-relegated Sofapaka, who are joined in the relegation zone by Bidco United and Kariobangi Sharks, with 24 and 30 points, respectively.

AFC Leopards vs Mara Sugar

AFC Leopards will be out to close the gap to Gor Mahia when they take on Mara Sugar at the Nyayo National Stadium from 1600 hrs.

Ingwe are still in the title race, even though they lost much ground after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Gor Mahia in the Mashemeji Derby.

The match also provides Leopards with an opportunity to get back to winning ways, after losing back to back league matches.

Coach Fred Ambani will also be concerned with the fact that his team failed to find the back of the net on those two occasions.

In their way will be an in-form Mara Sugar side, who have won all their last three matches with a similar 1-0 scoreline.

Mara will also draw encouragement from the 2-0 win that they got from Leopards in the first leg.

Shabana vs Ulinzi Stars

At the Gusii Stadium, Shabana will battle it out with Ulinzi Stars from 1400hrs, in a match that will have much significance in the relegation matrix.

Ulinzi are currently on 31 points, just a point and place above the relegation zone, and will be out to seek a win that would increase their survival chances.

Shabana, on the other hand, will be targeting to soothe the agony of elimination from the Mozzart Bet Cup with victory against Ulinzi, even as they target a top three finish at the end of the season.
