Maitland-Niles scored the goal of the month but Neves stunned the home crowd in the 95th minute
The current European champion is definitely not in top form like last season and continues to squander points in Ligue 1.
After draws with Lille, Strasbourg, and Lorient, the Parisians lost at home against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and traveled to Lyon in the hope that they would finally win and take over the first place in Ligue 1 from Olympique Marseille.
But thanks to a resilient host, PSG was held to 2-2 until the 95th minute.
And then, after a corner kick, one of the shortest players on the field, Joao Neves, took a header totally unmarked and denied Ainsley Maitland-Niles goal in the 50th minute.
Former Arsenal man lobbed the PSG keeper from over 20 meters and scored the goal of the month in the 50th minute, but it was not enough.
Even without star players like Doue, Dembele, Mendes and Hakimi, the Parisian had enough quality players to score three goals and win on the road.

Goals, chances, questionable decisions...we saw it all in the first half.
PSG controlled the game from the first minute, but apart from Pacho’s header, which went over the bar in the 18th minute, there were no other chances.
And then Vitinha started with his magic and produced a brilliant pass from his own half and found Zaïre-Emery on the counter.
The Frenchman was unmarked and fired a powerful shot past Greif for the lead. But just four minutes later, almost the same action happened, but in the opposite direction.
Senegal’s Moussa Niakhate assisted Moreira from his own half, Zaire-Emery was late to stop him, and he equalized.
But this was not the end. After three minutes, the guests were in the lead again.
It was Vitinha again with an assist to Kvaratskhelia, who took a precise shot from 15 meters away.
The home players argued that the Portuguese midfielder fouled Tessmann before he assisted, but it was denied.
There was another ‘controversy’ before the Lyon equalizer, but VAR was silent again.
After a corner kick, Zabarnyi apparently touched the ball, but the referee did not react, and there was no penalty for Lyon.
The home team had a fantastic opportunity in the 43rd minute, but Tagliafico hit the post.

The second half started great, with a beautiful Ainsley Maitland-Niles goal.
Former Arsenal midfielder found himself in a surprise chance and did not waste his time, as he took a perfect shot from 20 meters away and lobbed Chevalier for 2-2.
There were no chances for 12 minutes before Kang-In Lee tried from distance.
Luckily for the home fans, Greif was there to parry it. Lyon really tightened the defense, and apart from a couple of opportunities from each team, there were no clear chances until that fatal 95th minute when Neves delivered the fatal blow.
