Gunners take down sloppy Eagles thanks to Saka's brace to make a giant step towards the EPL crown

Arsenal defeat Crystal Palace 4-1, albeit the visitors had at least three clear-cut chances to make it a whole different story

Don't look at a scoreboard all the time because it can take you in the whole wrong direction and conclusion. Arsenal did beat Crystal Palace 4-1 (2-0) to continue their Premier League title pursuit. However, it was not that easy for the table-toppers since the visitors had all the time and chance in the world to grab, at least, a draw, but they failed big time.

Wilfried Zaha missed not one but two sitters, Eze added another one and instead of upsetting the title contenders, the Eagles - for the first time without their until-recent coach Patrick Vieira - suffer another fourth EPL loss in a row to attach themselves even more to the danger zone.

On the other hand, the Gunners did struggle in the opening moments of the match, but as time went by, Mikel Arteta's boys managed to grab the steering wheel and turn this match just where they wanted to.

Gabriel Martinelli punished Crystal Palace's misses with a resolute shot from the left to put his side in front.

Unplayable Bukayo Saka scored a brace in another masterful performance, while the team's captain Granit Xhaka netted after a wonderful link-up with Trossard.

Despite Schlupp's goal that reduced Arsenal's lead to 3-1, followed by Zaha's second miss, the Eagles were miles away from clinching a point at the Emirates.

Unlike them, Arsenal repeatedly shows signs of praiseworthy stability that a team pushing for the EPL crown should have upon its sleeve. Eight points clear of Manchester City, for a moment at least, they seem capable of going all the way.
