Isak gets advice on how to force a move to Liverpool ahead of Reds' clash against Newcastle

While most people are somewhat shocked by the Swede's behaviour, one of the iconic EPL strikers had a peculiar tip for him

The Alexander Isak saga seems far from over. Liverpool want him, and he wants to move to Anfield, but Newcastle are standing in the way of love between the Reds and the Swede, and that's unlikely to change at the moment.

Regarding the situation, a clash between Eddie Howe and Arne Slot's crews could have come at a different time, but still, it is what it is - Newcastle and Liverpool will lock horns tonight (22.00) in the final clash of the second Premier League round and in some sort of "Alexander Isak derby."

The striker definitely won't play for the Magpies, which gives an edge to the Reds. However, given the problems they had last week against Bournemouth, the club from the east of England certainly stands a chance.

But let's get back to the most intriguing topic at both Anfield and St. James' Park - Isak.

While most people are shocked by his behaviour towards the club that brought him the glory he has at the moment, the former Watford net-buster and the scorer of 47 EPL goals, Troy Deeney, had peculiar advice for the Swede on how to force a move to Liverpool!

Namely, in his article in The Sun, the 37-year-old recalled his efforts in trying to force a move from Walsall to Watford back in 2010, advising Isak to follow in his footsteps.

"In private, my agent said to me, 'you're going to have to kick up a fuss here. You're going back to training and you'll do all of the running but as soon as a ball is involved, you're going to have to ruin sessions, you're going to have to kick balls away. But importantly, you can't let anyone on the outside know what's going on."

"It was really hard, you would go home feeling guilty, being a d*** for no reason, burning bridges for people you quite like. But you've just go to remember who you're doing it for: yourself. That's how Isak will be feeling."

"This is a career-changing, career-defining move. You're going from Newcastle to one of the biggest clubs in world football in Liverpool, where you are probably going to win major titles," Deeney stated.

Considering that Isak is way different from Deeney, who was known for his impulsive temperament and hot-headed nature, the 25-year-old will hardly listen to the advice he received, though he may be glad that there's at least one person who genuinely understands him, his wishes, and his position.
