Siwa joins Pamba Jiji from Kagera Sugar, who were relegated to the second tier at the end of last season after finishing 15th in the 16-team table.

Kagera Sugar, who recently appointed former Gor Mahia striker Ronald Okoth as the club's CEO, worked round the clock to retain the services of the playmaker, but Siwa opted for a move away from the Sugar Millers.

“Shaphan Siwa has decided to join Pamba Jiji. The Kenyan is an attacking midfielder. Mr. Link Up’ has come to ensure Wana Tipilindanda are in safe hands. Welcome,” read a post by Pamba Jiji on Facebook.

Siwa brings to an end his stay at Kagera, a club he joined in January on a short-term contract, opting to trade chasing the title with Tusker FC for a relegation battle with the Sugar Millers.

His exit was one of the main reasons why the Brewers failed to land the title. Siwa had contributed 10 league goals, one goal and nine assists, most of which were fed to Ryan Ogam.

Ogam scored just one league goal after Siwa’s exit before he was sidelined for the majority of the second leg with injury, further deepening Tusker's woes.

At Pamba Jiji, Siwa rejoins Baraza and goalkeeper coach John Waw, having previously worked together with the two at Biashara United.

Baraza and Waw ditched Mozzart Bet-sponsored Kakamega Homeboyz at the end of last season after the expiry of their contracts and rejected offers from several Kenyan clubs for what is believed to be a big-money move to Tanzania.

Waw was on the verge of joining Kenyan giants Gor Mahia as the goalkeeper coach, but abandoned the offer in the eleventh hour.

The three Kenyans will now link up with former Shabana FC striker Mathew Tegisi, who joined Pamba Jiji in January.
