Lanky Tusker forward linked up with the Swedish side on a 6-months long loan.

David Majak has joined Kalmar FF's first-team training after arriving in Sweden last month.

The Tusker FC striker has been training with the U-19 side but was seen training with the senior team in training session photos shared by the Swedish club.

The striker joined the Swedish top division team after an unusual loan move for players moving from Kenyan clubs to Sweden, something that was explained by Kalmar FF as being circumstantial.

Majak's loan move runs for six months, with an option for a permanent move if the Club is impressed at the end of the loan spell.

The club’s Sports Manager Jorgen Petersson said that the Covid-19 pandemic amongst other issues forced the club to restrategize on how they recruit players, especially from Africa, adding that the decision for a permanent move for the striker was in the hands of Kalmar FF.

The lanky forward joined Tusker in 2018 amidst interests from Kakamega Homeboyz. He is a product of the Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Grassroots tournament where he featured for Kapenguria Heroes, though he started his career at the Kakuma Refugee Camp

The South Sudan International scored six goals on his debut season in the top flight but had limited playtime this season as he struggled with injury issues as well as the emergence of Henry Meja who has been scoring at will for Tusker. Before moving to Sweden last month, he had scored only four goals.

The South Sudanese was handed his first-ever call-up to the South Sudan national team for the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea in 2019 where he featured for 54 minutes.
