The Cameroonian stopped three spot kicks in the penalty shoot-out, sending Trabzonspor to the semi-finals of the Turkish Cup
If you ask Manchester United, Andre Onana's case at Old Trafford is closed.
The Red Devils found a reliable, young custodian in Senne Lammens, for whom they paid quite a bit to the Belgian Royal Antwerp (€21 million), and thus do not count on the Cameroonian.
In fact, last June, they barely got rid of the African keeper, who eventually moved to Turkish club Trabzonspor on loan. And even though the Manchester side does not want him, Onana showed yesterday that he hasn't lost his touch.
On the contrary, the 30-year-old was the hero of Trabzonspor's triumph over Samsunspor in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup, as he first got the rivals' striker Cherif Ndiaye sent off, taking a hard knee to the head, and then impressed in the penalty shoot-out that followed a goalless draw, stopping three straight spot-kicks!
Onana saved 3 penalties as Trabzonspor qualified for Turkish Cup semifinals.

Onana conceded only the first effort, while his teammates converted three pens and confirmed the victory.
The Red Devils' loanee thus almost single-handedly sent his team to the Cup semis with a Man of the Match performance.
In the end, Onana's heroic display will hardly change the Man United board's opinion regarding his stay at the Theatre of Dreams, but could increase his value ahead of the upcoming June Transfer Window, where selling the Cameroonian, whose deal runs through 2028, will be one of the club's primary tasks.
