Manchester City ready to offload Norwegian gem - no, it's not Halaand

Oscar Bobb is struggling at the Etihad as Pep Guardiola has obviously changed his mind about him. Another Premier League side is eager to sign him in the next few days

Fulham are exploring a move for Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb, a talent whose path under Pep Guardiola has stalled just as competition at the Etihad has intensified.

The 22-year-old Norwegian has slipped down the pecking order following City's €75m capture of Antoine Semenyo, a signing that has further crowded the right flank already occupied by Savinho. With minutes increasingly scarce, Bobb’s future is suddenly up in the air.

Talks between Fulham and City have already taken place, according to sources, although no formal bid has yet been submitted. Borussia Dortmund have also shown interest, but it is Marco Silva's side who are currently best positioned to act.

Bobb has made 15 appearances for City this season without finding the net, his momentum disrupted once again by injury. His last outing came on December 17 against Brentford in the League Cup, when he was forced off inside the opening 20 minutes. Asked about his availability ahead of City's Champions League clash with Bodo/Glimt, Guardiola was blunt:

"He says he is not fit, so he is not fit."

With Semenyo's arrival reshaping Guardiola's attacking options, City are open to allowing Bobb to leave this month, either on loan or via a permanent transfer.

Fulham, meanwhile, are enjoying a solid run under Marco Silva, losing just once in their last seven matches. Sitting 11th in the Premier League and through to the FA Cup fourth round, the Cottagers see Bobb as a low-risk, high-upside addition. A move to Craven Cottage would also reunite the winger with Norway teammate Sander Berge.

Still just 22, Bobb remains highly rated in his homeland, having earned six caps for Norway and played a role in their qualification for this summer’s World Cup. But after missing almost all of last season due to a fractured leg suffered in training, the priority is clear: fitness, minutes, and a chance to relaunch a career that once looked destined for the very top.
