More red cards than goals in 2022, but the Gunners finally win

War in the trenches. The hosts fought hard and well, and the guests had to earn their victory with a lot of sweat, and even with a 10 men. But the Gunners did it. They won their first match in 2022 and kept a clean sheet in the process to climb up to fifth place in the Premier League table: Wolverhampton – Arsenal 0-1. The only goal of the game was scored by Gabriel Magalhaes after a corner in which Wolves defenders reacted slowly and allowed the Brazilian to score the winner from close range. His namesake Martinelli was sent off in the second half for two bookings shown at the same time for infringements seconds apart - stopping a throw-in and a foul on Chiquinho. It's funny but Arsenal actually had more red cards than goals in 2022 - 4:2. Wolves pushed even harder after that, but it was not good enough. And considering that they have the third worst attack in the league, it was never going to be easy anyway.
