The 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup comes to a climax with a sumptuous final match pitting Police FC and Tusker FC today, Sunday, 14 June, at Kwale Stadium from 1530 hrs.
After an intense edition that began with 64 teams all eyeing the prestigious title, the best four teams assemble in Kwale to compete for the millions at stake.5
2024 champions Police will lock horns with Tusker in search of the title, a match that will be preceded by the third-place playoff encounter between coastal side Bandari FC and KCB FC.
Police head into the match seeking to repeat their 2024 triumph when they won the highly sought-after cup after defeating KCB in a post-match penalty shootout to earn their maiden appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC).
The law enforcers would then go on to win the FKF Premier League title in the subsequent season and earn a place in the CAF Champions League (CAF CL).8
Following a disappointing season in the just-concluded league campaign, where they finished third, the Mozzart Bet Cup remains Police’s only chance to compete in continental football for the third consecutive time.
The 2024/25 league champions booked a place in the final following a post-match penalty shootout win over Bandari FC.
Coach Nicholas Muyoti disclosed that this is not only a chance for his team to win silverware this season but also an opportunity for himself as a coach.
For Tusker, they finished ninth on the league table and, just like Police, have their eyes set on the cup final in order to redeem themselves.
Tusker will be seeking to stop Police's Yves Koutima, who has proven to be the main man in Police’s attack, if they are to win the title.
For either side, a win guarantees them Ksh 3 million as well as the chance to play in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC), while the runners-up will receive Ksh 2 million, all courtesy of Mozzart Bet Kenya Limited.
