From long-range screamers and thunderous volleys to moments of pure improvisation, the campaign produced several contenders worthy of any season-ending highlight reel.

Mozzart Sport's football writers each picked the goal they believe stood above the rest.

Kelly Madada's thunderbolt

There were several standout strikes this season, but Kelly Madada’s effort against Posta Rangers edges it for me.

Posta failed to clear a loose ball inside the box before Ronald Sichenje squared it to the arriving Madada, who made no mistake. He unleashed a thunderous first-time finish into the roof of the net with his weaker left foot, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

What makes the goal exceptional is the effortless execution under pressure and the quality of the strike on his weaker foot, making it one of the most memorable moments of the season.

Sammy Gitahi

Kizza stunner against Shabana

Puskas award anybody? That is how I felt upon watching Mustafa Kizza unleash a peach of a shot from just inside his own half, to beat the league's Golden Glove winner Stephen Ochieng, and give his Nairobi United side a comfortable 3-0 win over Shabana at Kasarani Stadium.

Just one pass from the hand of Naibois keeper Bernard Jairo was all it took to create the goal, which exemplified the vision and technique of the Ugandan leftback, who spotted Ochieng off his line, and timed his strike to perfection in double-quick time.

Its impact? The goal helped seal a desired win for Nairobi United, who were by then enduring spell of four games without a win, two of those against sides in the relegation zone. Quite a way to stem a mid-season collapse.

Kizza's Goal vs Shabana

The goal was initially recorded as an own goal, but official FKF Premier League records later awarded it to Kizza, a decision that, in my view, was fully justified.

Few goals from last season combined audacity, awareness and execution quite like this one.

It all started with a quick distribution from Nairobi United goalkeeper Bernard Jairo, but the real magic came seconds later.

From deep inside his own half, Kizza noticed Shabana goalkeeper Ochieng had strayed off his line.

Without hesitation, the Ugandan left-back unleashed a perfectly measured effort that sailed over the stranded custodian and into the back of the net.

What made the goal even more special was the speed of thought behind it.

While others saw a routine passage of play, Kizza identified an opportunity, assessed it instantly and executed it flawlessly.

The strike was not only spectacular but also significant. Nairobi United were going through a difficult spell, having failed to win in four matches, and the victory provided a timely boost as concerns began to grow over a potential mid-season slump.

Its quality, rarity and importance did not go unnoticed. At the club's end-of-season awards gala, Kizza was recognised for producing one of the most memorable goals of the campaign.

Meshack Kisenge

Madada vs Posta Rangers

Superb goals were witnessed in the concluded season.

From long-range efforts, tap-ins, great penalties, free kicks, headers, solo efforts and team goals, the term delivered richly as far as having the ball in the net is concerned.

From the hundreds of goals scored, Kelly Madada's effort against Posta Rangers stood out for more.

That left-footed finish outside the box was simply incredible. Not even the best goalkeepers in the world would have saved it.

The youngster read Ronald Sichenje's mind and idea well, bulleting the first ball into the roof despite the pressure from Posta defenders.
