In Inter Miami’s victory, the legendary Argentine was the leading figure on the pitch and achieved yet another milestone
Led by Lionel Messi, the players of Inter Miami CF defeated Toronto FC 4–2 in an exciting match, with the Argentine superstar shining on the pitch.
Messi scored Inter Miami’s fourth goal and, in doing so, became the record holder for the player who needed the fewest matches to be involved in 100 goals. He has scored 59 goals and registered 41 assists.

It was also the 907th goal of Messi’s career, and it now seems very realistic that Cristiano Ronaldo may not be the only player chasing the milestone of 1,000 career goals — a mark no one has ever reached before.
The goal came after a combination between Messi and Rodrigo De Paul. Messi set up his compatriot, who returned the ball to him, and Leo calmly slotted it into the corner in his trademark style, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
The Argentine sealed a convincing victory that was interestingly orchestrated entirely by former players of major Spanish clubs. De Paul (Atletico Madrid) opened the scoring for 1–0, Luis Suarez doubled the lead, then Sergio Reguilon, the former Sevilla player, scored the third goal before Messi put the finishing touch on the win.

Both goals for the home side were scored by Colombian forward Emilio Aristizabal.
Messi is clearly hitting top form ahead of the FIFA World Cup, where his Argentina national football team will defend the title they won in Qatar in 2022.
