In other matches, Vihiga Bullets will entertain Rainbow FC at Vapor Grounds, Ngong with both sides keen to continue with their winning streak while Dimba Patriots after a three-week break will host Mara Sugar at The Wolves Den in Kajiado.

After a goal-filled Saturday afternoon, National Super League action continues on Sunday with matches spread across the country that might determine movements at both ends of the table.

Dimba Patriots will be back in action after the Football Kenya Federation reinstated them in the second-tier fixtures. FKF had suspended all Dimba games indefinitely in the previous match week.

SS Assad vs Mathare United

Mathare United will be keen to return joint summit of the table when they take on Assad at the Ukunda Showgrounds on Sunday afternoon.

Under the tutelage of Leonard Odipo, the slum boys found themselves three points behind leaders Naivas after the former dispatched Migori Youth 4-0 on Saturday to extend the lead at the top by three points.

However, Mathare faces a side that boosts an improbable home record having picked seven wins, two draws, and a loss from 10 games in front of their fans. Nassoro Mwakoba’s charges' last home battering dates back to early November when they lost 1-0 to Darajani Gogo.

On the other hand, Mathare holds the second-best away form in the tier having lost only twice to formidable sides of Luanda Villa and Naivas.

The first-leg encounter between these two sides ended with the Nairobi-based Mathare snatching a late 1-0 win and with Assad focused on attaining a top-five finish, it sets the stage for an intriguing match at Ukunda.

Mombasa Elite vs Kisumu All Stars

Meanwhile, at Mbaraki Sports Complex in Mombasa, survival-seeking Mombasa Elite will host Kisumu All-Stars in a must-win match for the Phelix Ogutu-coached Elite if they are to keep momentum in the survival quest.

Elite has been unpredictable since the start of the year, managing three wins while dropping maximum points on six occasions. Furthermore, previous encounters against the Eagles (Kisumu) have had a bad taste for the club defensively failing to record a clean sheet in seven straight games.

On the other hand, the Charles Bruno-coached All Stars, will be hoping to take advantage of the inexperienced Elite side to bounce back to winning ways having played out three draws in the last four games.

Kisumu emerged 2-0 winners in the first leg meet with goals from Nelson Amunga and Laban Otieno sealing the win.

Mulembe United vs Nairobi United

Mumias Sports Complex will play host to an enticing match between relegation-threatened Mulembe United and promotion-chasing Nairobi United in what promises to be a roll caster of a game.

Mulembe will be banking on the new found winning mentality to propel them against a side that has lost once in the last seven encounters.

Nairobi will be without the services of their leading top scorer Henry Omolo after he accumulated five yellow cards.

A win for the Naibois will move them to 42 points and within the reach of the league lead group.

In other matches, Vihiga Bullets will entertain Rainbow FC at Vapor Grounds, Ngong with both sides keen to continue with their winning streak while Dimba Patriots after a three-week break will host Mara Sugar at The Wolves Den in Kajiado.
