Goals from Emmanuel Lunalo, Markvibian Kesa, and Julius Ngugi ensured that head coach Elvis Ayany's side finished the campaign level on points with Darajani Gogo but with a superior goal difference, four more than their playoff rivals.

Heading into the weekend, the playoff berth was a three-horse race involving Naivas, Fortune Sacco, and Darajani Gogo. Naivas knew only a win would suffice, and they delivered in style.

Darajani Gogo 1-0 Luanda Villa

At the Marist University Grounds, Darajani Gogo edged Luanda Villa 1-0 thanks to Edwin Ouko’s goal. However, despite matching Naivas on 62 points, Paul Ogai’s men were undone by goal difference and narrowly missed the playoff ticket.

Naivas will now hope to go one step further than last season, when they lost narrowly to Sofapaka 1-0 in both legs of the playoff under then-coach Collins Omondi.

Mombasa United 4-1 Kibera Black Stars

In the relegation dogfight, Mombasa United avoided the drop after thumping Kibera Black Stars 4-1 at the Ukunda Showgrounds in a match overshadowed by controversy before kickoff.

Kibera arrived without a goalkeeper or full technical bench, fielding only their coach and a depleted squad.

Paul Osama was the hero with a hat trick, and Barack added the fourth, ensuring Mombasa United’s stay in the second tier.

The result condemned their coastal rivals, Mombasa Stars, to relegation.

Mombasa Stars 0-1 SamWest

At the Serani Sports Complex, Mombasa Stars needed the miracle of winning by at least 18 goals and hope other results went their way.

But their hopes were dashed within eight minutes when Timothy Ndayala of SamWest Blackboots scored the only goal of the match. Ndayala finished the season with 20 goals to his name.

Mombasa Stars, formerly known as Coast Stima and then Coastal Heroes, have endured years of financial instability and name changes.

They now face life in the third tier and a crucial period of rebuilding.

Migori Youth 1-0 Nzoia Sugar

At Migori Stadium, Paul Okoth scored the decisive goal as Migori Youth edged Nzoia Sugar 1-0 to confirm their survival.

Migori finished 12th with 41 points, while Nzoia, despite their struggles, also survived, ending the campaign in 15th place with 39 points.

3K FC 1-0 MOFA

In Embu, newcomers 3K FC wrapped up a promising debut season in the second tier with a 1-0 win over Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA), securing a respectable ninth-place finish.
