The Embu-based side currently tops the NSL table with 68 points, level with both Migori Youth and Mombasa United.

They enjoy a superior goal difference of 32 after scoring a league-high 55 goals while conceding the fewest, 23.

Omasete arrived at the club midway through the season when 3K had endured a difficult spell of four matches without victory, form that saw them begin to slip away from the promotion places.

However, since his appointment towards the end of February, the former Fortune Sacco tactician has transformed the side into one of the most dangerous attacking outfits in the division.

The club rediscovered rhythm almost immediately, scoring freely in both league and cup competitions.

The impressive run also carried them to the quarter-finals of the Mozzart Bet Cup, where Bandari eliminated them.

“The competition in the team, especially among the forwards, has spurred the team to the top of the table. This will continue in the remaining five games, and I’m enjoying it, although it gives me a selection headache,” said Omasete.

Mark Kithome leads the club’s scoring charts with 12 goals and 13 assists, while Javan Njue has netted eight times and provided four assists.

Oscar Juma has managed seven goals alongside 13 assists, with Alex Mwalimu also contributing eight goals and five assists in a season where goals have come from almost every department.

“Our team is unpredictable. Most of the players can score regardless of their position. "The competition for starting places is tough, and you can see that in training, which is why I rotate my squad in every game,” noted Omasete.

The tactician also acknowledged the threat posed by fellow promotion hopefuls Equity Bank, whom 3K are set to face in another crucial encounter in the battle for top-flight slots.

“Equity is fourth in the promotion mix too. I anticipate a tough game,” he added.

“I have worked on the gaps I identified in our last game against Kibera Black Stars. Even though we won, we struggled in some areas, which I have fine-tuned ahead of the game against Equity Bank.

Beyond Equity, Omasete still has tricky fixtures against Mombasa United, Mwatate United, and Migori Youth in what promises to be a tense conclusion to the campaign.

“We have two away and three home games. From my analysis, winning the NSL title is achievable. "The playing unit, technical bench, and management are totally committed to achieving this,” said Omasete.

The coach was speaking after 3K thrashed FKF Division Two side Awakening 11-2 in a build-up match as preparations intensify for the decisive final stretch of the season.
