At the heart of the weekend action will be promotion hopefuls 3K FC and Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA), as relegation-threatened Darajani Gogo continue their desperate fight for survival with only a handful of matches left before the curtain falls on the campaign.
Kibera Black Stars vs 3K FC
The standout fixture of the day is set for Gems Cambridge Grounds, where Kibera Black Stars host high-flying 3K FC.
Kibera’s promotion ambitions have suffered a major blow following three consecutive draws that significantly dented their push for a top-flight slot.

Despite falling off the pace, the Nairobi-based side will still be keen to finish the season strongly, and salvage pride in the closing stages of the campaign.
Currently seventh on the table with 51 points, Kibera sit 14 behind leaders Mombasa United, and face an uphill task in reviving their promotion hopes.
Nonetheless, the Iddi Badi-coached outfit still has plenty to play for, with a top-five finish remaining within reach.
Kibera have built a reputation as giant slayers at home and have consistently troubled teams at the summit of the standings.
The Rubis Energy-backed side stunned league leaders Migori Youth with a 1-0 victory before dispatching Mombasa United 2-0.
They also edged MOFA 1-0 in another statement result, underlining their ability to upset promotion contenders.
Victory on Saturday would lift Kibera to 54 points and potentially narrow the gap to the top five to just three points, should MOFA stumble in their respective fixture.
There will also be an added motivation for the hosts, as they seek revenge for the 2-0 first-leg defeat suffered against 3K FC at Embu Stadium earlier in the season.
However, standing in their way is arguably the form team in the division.
3K FC head into the clash riding on a remarkable unbeaten streak that has stretched to 13 matches — one of the longest runs in the league this season.
The Mozzart Bet-backed side has been in devastating form, and arrives in Nairobi full of confidence, this after winning each of their last eight matches.
The impressive run has propelled coach Nicodemus Omasete’s charges to second place, just three points behind leaders Migori Youth.
Victory could temporarily send 3K level on points with Migori, and potentially top of the standings on goal difference, depending on other results.
MOFA vs Gucha Stars
Elsewhere, all eyes will be on Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo where MOFA host Gucha Stars in another crucial fixture with major implications at both ends of the table.
The Homa Bay-based side enters the encounter just days after parting ways with head coach Charles Bruno, following a series of underwhelming results that derailed their once-promising promotion charge.
Assistant coach Fobian Hosea has now been handed responsibility for the remainder of the campaign, as MOFA seek to steady the ship and reignite their push for top-flight football.
Sitting fifth on 57 points and eight behind leaders Mombasa United, MOFA are fully aware that anything short of maximum points in the remaining six matches could prove catastrophic to their promotion ambitions.
Interim coach Fobian Hosea shares a special message for MOFA FC fans ahead of Saturday’s FKF National Super League clash against Gucha Stars at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium, Mamboleo.#WeAreMOFA #MOFAvGUCHA #FKFNSL #TheWhiteRhinoshttps://t.co/wxHFfrL8H2

Speaking ahead of the clash, Hosea expressed confidence in his ability to guide the side through the difficult period.
“It is not a new challenge for me. I have been in charge before, whenever the coach was away with the national team. I have also handled other teams before, so I am ready for the task. We are going fully for the points because this is a must-win match for u,s and also the remaining fixtures. I am certain we will deliver because the players are equally ready,” Hosea told the club’s media.
MOFA will be looking to build on the dramatic comeback victory they secured in the reverse fixture, and complete a league double over Gucha Stars while simultaneously ending their recent struggles.
But the visitors travel to Mamboleo equally desperate for points.

Gucha Stars remain firmly entangled in the relegation battle, and are currently enduring a difficult run that has seen them go eight matches without victory, managing only three draws during that period.
The Sammy Okoth-coached side sits seven points above the relegation zone, and knows a positive result would significantly boost their survival hopes.
Having already suffered defeat in the first meeting, Gucha will be aiming to capitalize on the uncertainty surrounding MOFA’s recent coaching changes and deepen the hosts’ frustrations.
Naivas vs Darajani Gogo
The final fixture of the day will see Naivas FC take on Darajani Gogo in another contest expected to carry enormous significance.
Naivas may have fallen out of the promotion race, but the retail-sponsored side still has ambitions of securing a strong finish to the season.
The Retailers, under coach Elvis Ayany, head into the match unbeaten in their last three outings, and will be determined to extend that run, while strengthening their bid for a top-five finish.
For Darajani Gogo, however, the stakes are considerably higher.
The Kibera side remains deeply rooted in the relegation battle, and desperately needs maximum points to revive their fading survival hopes.
Currently sitting on 28 points, victory over Naivas could move Gogo to a valuable gap between themselves and the relegation zone.
Any further slip-up, however, could severely jeopardize their survival chances, and threaten to end their four-year stay in the National Super League.
With both sides entering the fixture driven by different ambitions, but equally desperate for points, another fiercely contested battle is expected.
