National Super League (NSL) leaders Mombasa United, alongside fellow promotion hopefuls 3K FC, Equity FC and Kibera Black Stars kept their bids for the title alive after winning their Sunday matches.
At Mombasa Sports Club, Mombasa United showcased resilience and attacking prowess to dispatch Mully Children Family (MCF) 3-1.
The visitors stunned the hosts with an early opener inside the second minute, briefly threatening an upset.
However, Mombasa responded with composure, drawing level through James Owino on the stroke of half-time.
The second half saw the Gilbert Selebwa-coached side assert their dominance, with Jack Watee putting them ahead shortly after the restart.
Mombasa would seal the tie moments later after netting the third goal.
The win propelled Mombasa United to 55 points, opening a three-point cushion at the summit, while MCF’s struggles deepened as they remained rooted at the bottom of the table.
At Dandora Stadium, Kibera Black Stars continued their impressive surge with a vital 2-1 away win over FC Talanta in an all-promotion-chasers clash.
Goals from Dalton Owino and Veron Nanjero proved decisive, cancelling out Alex Kipruto’s effort for the hosts.

Mark Kithome starred with a brace, alongside a goal from Sammy Mejja, overturning Titus Lusweti’s effort for the visitors.

Equity FC continued to underline their credentials for a historic maiden FKF Premier League promotion with a narrow but crucial 1-0 win over Luanda Villa at Vapour Grounds.
The victory lifted John Kamara Mbezwa’s side to 49 points, solidifying third place while closing the gap to just three points off second and six behind the leaders.

For Darajani Gogo, the defeat extended their winless streak since the turn of the year, dragging them deeper into relegation trouble.

In Mumboha, Vihiga United secured a lifeline in their fight against relegation with a narrow 2-1 victory over Kabati Youth.
The win moved Vihiga to 19 points, keeping their survival hopes alive as they now sit five points from safety.
