The clash, played at the Mombasa Sports Grounds, lived up to its billing as a fiercely contested affair, with neither side willing to concede ground.

Despite a display marked by intensity, discipline, and tactical caution, the two title contenders ultimately settled for a goalless draw.

The result saw both teams move to 65 points, with Migori Youth maintaining their position at the summit courtesy of a superior goal difference.

With just seven matches remaining, the stalemate does little to separate the frontrunners, instead amplifying the tension in what is shaping up to be a captivating run-in to the season.

Elsewhere, Equity FC continued to underline their promotion credentials with a narrow but significant 1-0 victory over Nairobi City Stars at Mashuuru Grounds.

In what has been an impressive maiden campaign, the bankers showcased resilience and composure to secure maximum points and reclaim third place on the log.

The victory lifts Equity FC to 60 points, placing them just five behind the joint leaders and firmly within reach of the title chase.

With momentum on their side and the season approaching its defining phase, their emergence adds further intrigue to an already tightly contested battle at the top.

For Nairobi City Stars, however, the defeat marked their 12th loss of the season, leaving them languishing in 12th place on 37 points.

At Mumboha Grounds in Luanda, Luanda Villa delivered a defining performance to edge past Darajani Gogo with a slender 1-0 victory.

Harrison Tiema emerged as the difference-maker, his decisive strike ensuring maximum points for Luanda.

The win sees Luanda Villa climb to 35 points, opening a crucial seven-point cushion above the relegation zone and significantly boosting their survival hopes.

In contrast, Darajani Gogo’s struggles continue to deepen.

The defeat marked coach Ken Kenyatta’s second loss in charge and extended the team’s winless run to three matches, leaving them precariously placed on 28 points, just eight above Vihiga United.

Meanwhile, in Murang’a, Kabati Youth and Nzoia Sugar shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw that offered little relief to either side.

While the result halted Kabati Youth’s four-match losing streak, it did little to ease their relegation concerns as they remain rooted in the danger zone on 28 points.

For Nzoia Sugar, the draw sees them move to 43 points as they continue their pursuit of a top-half finish, though the outcome will be viewed as a missed opportunity to gain further ground.
