You can't dismiss the Neapolitans' title chances on this form

Victor Osimhen is almost single-handedly dragging Napoli towards the Serie A finishing line. His two goals on Saturday afternoon gave Napoli a priceless victory over a stubborn Udinese team at Stadio San Paolo.

The visitors from northern Italy arrived to the fiery south knowing that tradition and the odds are stacked against them. But they did their best to upset Luciano Spalletti's team nonetheless.

Former Everton and Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu gave Udinese the lead midway through the first half despite the apparent Neapolitan domination. It was starting to look like one of those days for the home side.

But up stepped Victor Osimhen to fire two proper striker's goals in just ten minutes to turn the game on its head and give Napoli the lead their performance deserved.

The home side's left-back Mario Rui had a good chance to put the game beyond doubt five minutes from time, but goalkeeper Marco Silvestri kept his team in the game.

Spalletti's men survived a late penalty claim for the visitors and held on to claim the points that lift them to the top of the Serie A standings - at least for a few hours.

The southeners have to be taken seriously in this title race!
