In a strongly worded statement shared across their official social media platforms, the Kisii-based club cautioned that no free access will be granted to government officers or dignitaries not on official duty or in uniform.

The club underscored that buying a ticket is not just about entry to the stadium but a direct contribution to the team’s welfare and long-term sustainability.

"We kindly notify all civil servants, police officers not on duty or in uniform, KDF members, county employees, MCAs, and all dignitaries that buying a ticket means directly supporting the welfare of Shabana FC,” the statement read in part.

Every ticket purchased goes a long way in uplifting our team, from player welfare and logistics to matchday operations.

Let us lead from the front, show true love for our team, buy a ticket, wear our jersey, and stand proudly for Shabana FC.”

The club’s message comes in the wake of a sharp decline in gate collections, having recorded just KSh 935,000 during their recent 2–1 loss to Posta Rangers, a significant drop of KSh 592,000 from their opening-day win over APS Bomet.

This marked the fourth time Shabana have failed to cross the one-million-shilling mark in matchday revenue since their encounters against Bidco United last season, where they collected KSh 985,700, KSh 930,000 against Posta Rangers and KSh 831,300 during AFC Leopards tie last term.

Since their promotion back to the top flight in 2023, Shabana have consistently led the league in fan turnout and gate revenue, generating over KSh 20 million last season alone.

Their clash against Gor Mahia, which brought in a record KSh 5,019,800, remains the club’s highest single-match collection to date.
