Joash Onyango was the only Kenyan in action in the CAF Champions League on Saturday.
Kenyan international Joash Onyango and Simba SC endured a night to forget after being schooled by Kaizer Chiefs in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League.
Onyango has been linked with Chiefs' sworn cross-city rivals Orlando Pirates but Simba and Joash failed to impress in the clash.
The former Gor Mahia defender was once again trusted with a starting berth as has been in Simba’s continental assignment where he has scooped a place in the Champions League team of the week.
On the opposite side, his compatriot Anthony Akumu who turns of Chiefs started on the bench as he has been deemed surplus to requirements as has been placed on the periphery.

Chiefs only needed six minutes to break the deadlock courtesy of a bullet header from Eric Mathoho after Samir Nurkovic flicked on Lebogang Manyama’s corner.
Amakhosi doubled their advantage in the 34th minute this time through Serbian forward Nurkovic after heading Reeve Frosler’s cross with Simba suffering from the aerial prowess of Chiefs.
Nurkovic completed his brace three minutes to the hour mark as he scissored the ball into the back of the net after a defensive mix up from Simba.
Chiefs put the game beyond Simba in the 63rd minute through another header after the effervescent Manyama whipped in a cross into the box that found David Castro's head.
