The Brazilian delivered excellent performances for Olympique Lyon, and that was enough for Los Blancos to bring him back from his loan spell

Endrick is set to bid farewell to Lyon this weekend before returning to Real Madrid, who are reportedly ready to welcome him back into their plans at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Brazilian youngster has impressed throughout his loan spell in Ligue 1, and the Spanish giants now want him integrated into their attacking setup ahead of next season.

According to Globo Esporte, Sunday’s home clash against Lens will mark his final appearance in a Lyon shirt. Shortly after the match, Endrick and his family are expected to travel back to Madrid, with the move potentially happening as early as Monday.

Although the forward previously admitted, "I'd like to stay here" after starring against Rennes, the final decision was never in Lyon’s hands. Real Madrid deliberately excluded any buy option from the loan agreement, allowing them to retain full authority over his future and progression.

Even with the club season nearing its conclusion across Europe, Endrick is not planning a break. Globo reports that he has already asked for access to Madrid’s training complex and is due to begin personal fitness sessions at Valdebebas from Wednesday. The goal is to remain in peak condition ahead of the World Cup and be fully prepared if selected by Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The 19-year-old is not expected to train alongside the senior squad overseen by Alvaro Arbeloa, who remain focused on completing the La Liga campaign. Instead, he will follow a customised programme designed specifically for him.

Reports from Globo suggest Madrid officials have already reassured Endrick that he plays a significant role in their long-term plans for the 2026-27 season, with no discussions about another loan move. The club are also considering slight adjustments in their attacking department to create a clearer route to regular minutes for him, particularly on the right flank.

His performances in France have certainly strengthened his case. Across all competitions, Endrick has contributed 15 goals and assists in only 20 appearances for Lyon. His return to Madrid also comes at an ideal moment in his international ambitions, having already secured a place in Brazil’s provisional 55-man World Cup squad.

The teenager has recently delivered several eye-catching displays for the Selecao, including an influential outing against Croatia during the March international window, where he set up Gabriel Martinelli late in the game. With Ancelotti due to reveal Brazil’s final 26-man World Cup squad this Monday in Rio de Janeiro, Endrick is believed to have a strong chance of earning a place.
