Dunga's search for his maiden goal continues after featuring in the Consadole Sapporo stalemate.

Kenyan international Ismael Dunga featured in Sagan Tosu’s barren draw against Consadole Sapporo while Ayub Timbe missed the matchday squad in Vissel Kobe’s win.

Ayub Timbe

The former Reading FC winger Ayub Timbe sat out of the 1-2 win over Kashiwa Reysol in the Japanese J1 League on Wednesday 26 May.

Kobe failed to provide a statement as to why Timbe missed the clash after featuring in the 2-0 loss to Urawa Red Diamonds last time out.

After a barren draw in the first half, Yuta Goke opened the scoring for Kobe a minute after the halftime break with head coach Atsuhiro Miura’s pep talk paying dividends.

Kobe doubled their lead in the 52nd minute courtesy of an own goal from Naoki Kawaguchi that proved to be the match-winner.

Keiya Shiihashi pulled one back for Reysol but it was a little too late as Kobe bagged three vital points to move to seventh on the log.

Ismael Dunga

Kenyan forward Ismael Dunga was handed the final five minutes by Sagan Tosu in the barren draw against Consadole Sapporo in the Japanese J1 League.

Dunga is still waiting for his maiden Tosu goal since making his debut in late April after joining the side from Albanian outfit Vllaznia Shkodër.

Former Kashiwa Reysol forward and Japanese Most Valuable Player Michael Olunga however tipped Dunga to break his goal drought soon.

Dunga came on for Fuchi Honda in the 85th minute as Tosu aimed to bag maximum points in the game.

The Japanese J1 League handle on Twitter posted Olunga and Timbe goal celebrations and asked who pulled the acrobatic goal celebration better.

“Ayub Timbe you know I won ut Ishmael Dunga celebration will be better. Wait for it,” replied Olunga.
