The match week seven fixtures are promising to be exciting and with potential changes to the league table on both ends.
Varsity side Zetech Sparks hosts high flying Trinity Starlets, the latter eyeing top spot, while Kisumu All Starlets’ search for first win continues against Bungoma Queens, and Gideon Starlets take on Kibera Soccer Women.
Ahead of today's action, Kenya Police Bullets lead the table with 15 points from five games, Trinity are second with 13 points, two more than third-placed Vihiga Queens.
The bottom three is a Nyanza affair with Kisumu All Starlets at the bottom of the table with a single point, same as Kisped Queens, while Homa Bay-based Gideon Starlets complete the relegation bracket with three points.
In the biggest match of the day, Zetech Sparks play host to Trinity Starlets at the Zetech University, Mang’u campus grounds from 1400 hrs.
Trinity Starlets have had a great start to the season, winning four of their first five matches that has left them second on the log.
The Sylvanous Wesonga-coached side is eyeing a win that will take them top of the table, with Police Bullets sitting out of this weekend's fixtures.
Zetech, on the other hand, go into the match on the back of a 1-0 win over Kisumu All Starlets in their last match and will be eyeing a win that will move them from sixth to third on the log standings.
Kisumu All Starlets vs Bungoma Queens
At the Moi Stadium, Kisumu, Kisumu All Starlets will have a chance to move from the bottom of the log when they host Bungoma Queens from noon.
All Starlets are yet to win a match this season, and will be hoping home advantage reflects in the score-line against Bungoma who will draw confidence from their last win over Gideon Starlets.
Gideon Starlets vs Kibera Soccer Women
League newbies Gideon Starlets will be eyeing a second win of the season when they lock horns with Kibera Soccer Women at the Raila Odinga Stadium, Homa Bay from 1300 hrs.
Gideon are coming from an away loss to Bungoma Queens, but will be encouraged by Kibera’s unimpressive start to the season that has seen the FKF Cup champions register only a single win.
For Kibera, they will be banking on their experience to down the Homa Bay-based outfit.
