With both teams and the officials present, they all took to the pitch for their warm-up sessions, ready for the 1500 hrs kickoff.

However, with kick-off looming, Bungoma took issue with the state of the ambulance that was on standby, a matter they raised with the match commissioner.

Zetech, who were the home team, were expected to provide a fully equipped ambulance, but with no signs of one, the match failed to take place, a matter that will now be taken to the Leagues and Competitions Committee for determination.

The incident comes barely a week after all 12 FKF WPL clubs received Ksh100,000 support from FKF to ease the burden of honouring fixtures.

The support came after clubs, through their caucus, expressed frustrations with the nature of the league, accusing FKF of failing to offer necessary support to women's football.

Trinity Starlets 2-1 Madira Soccer Assassins

In the other match of the day, Trinity Starlets bagged a 2-1 victory over Madira Soccer Assassins in a clash staged at the Comboni Polytechnic Grounds.

Trinity went into the match on a decent run of form, having won four of their previous five matches, with the loss coming in their immediate previous match against Ulinzi Starlets.

In what is turning out to be a successful season for the Gilgil-based side, this was yet another win at home, having successfully turned Comboni into a fortress for visiting teams.

With the win, Trinity solidified their third position, taking their point tally to 37, seven and nine points behind Ulinzi Starlets and Kenya Police Bullets, respectively.

Madira, on the other hand continue to flirt with the red zone with only goal difference separating them from Gideon Starlets at ninth with 17 points.
