Tuchel's hooneymoon in Bayern is over

His team still plays badly, his players and not happy...
Harry Kane stated a few days ago that he enjoys the pressure that exists in Bayern and that this is exactly one of the reasons why he wanted to come to Munich, but he hardly hoped that already, at his start in the biggest German club, there could be a serious storm that threatens to determine the further course of the season. The Bavarians did not manage to solve another serious test in their favour this autumn. RB Leipzig defeated them in the Super Cup with 3:0, while Bayer Leverkusen took a point from the Allianz Arena last night. And he could have done all three if only Victor Boniface had managed to realize at least one of the four chances. Dropping points is less of a problem than the game itself and how Bayern look under Thomas Tuchel.
Min. 58 Tuchel hace 2 cambios.

The experienced specialist is no longer new to the club; he has made complete preparations, got a world-class striker, and had enough time to implement his ideas. Failed. The results are almost devastating. In addition to the fact that he won only nine out of 17 games and has barely above 50 per cent of success (he has a weaker performance only with Mainz), what is especially eye-popping are the very weak editions in 90 per cent of the games. The most concrete possible: in none of the last 17 matches did Tuchel's Bayern look better than Nagelsmann's. It can even be said that it was mostly far below the level of six months ago. Bayern is not one of those clubs which changes the coaches often, but after everything that happened last night, it is not hard to imagine that Tuchel is quite restless going into the Champions League derby match against Manchester United, i.e. the new big Bundesliga clash with RB Leipzig at the end of the month. No one from the club has publicly criticized him yet, which does not mean that his chair is not ‘shaky’.
Especially if it turns out that Thomas Müller and Josua Kimmich were angry for being substituted in the 60th minute. And this appears to be true. ‘Bild’ writes that Kimmich was not at all comfortable that he had to remove the captain‘s armband just ten seconds after Muller put it on his arm. Leaving the field, standing up with his hand over his head, he muttered something to Tuchel, and after the match he was the first to leave the stadium. Long before other players. When asked by a journalist why he was replaced so early, i.e. whether it was an injury, the 28-year-old all-rounder only casually added:
"You'll have to ask the coach".
As expected, Tuchel faced the same question at the press conference. And the way in which he "justified himself" only confirms that his position is currently far from safe:
"He had tendinitis, I didn't want to take any chances with him. The medical team clearly said he could play 60 minutes. That's why I took him out" said former Chelsea boss.
Indeed, Tuchel said before the game that it might happen that Kimmich does not play due to an injury. However, the way the German representative behaved after the substitution clearly shows that he did not like the coach's move, which means that he could continue the game without any problems. Thomas Müller did not want to deal with the coach's decision to replace him in the 60th minute. His pick was on referee Daniel Schlager:
"If I had fallen like Boniface, the referee wouldn’t have played the foul and the free kick from which Grimaldo scored a goal to make it 1:1. Of course it affected the further course of the match" said Muller, who also criticized the late penalty on Hoffman, as he claimed it was a ‘soft penalty’. Bayern will play against Manchester United in the first game of the Champions League on Wednesday. Tuchel has difficult days ahead. What he failed to do in half a year (to improve Bayern compared to the period with Nagelsmann’s), he now needs to do in four days. And probably more importantly, to stay on good terms with the 'senators' in the locker room, Muller and Kimmich in particular.
